“ I really enjoy eating here. I've dined in several times and have also ordered takeout. The service is always great and everyone is very attentive and kind. There are so many options here, there is something for everyone! Sushi, KBBQ, hot pot, Chinese buffet with dessert.. you'll be leaving full for sure. It's a great price for both lunch and dinner I find their prices to be very reasonable. All the ingredients used for their food is always very good quality and fresh, especially the ones used for KBBQ and sushi. Wide range of options and delicious food, very clean, and the staff is great. Can't go wrong! Highly recommend. ”

“ Went to Asuka last night for the wife's birthday and they were as on-point as they've ever been. We did the hot pot (mushroom broth was amazing), the grill and the buffet (All this for $20 each!) and I throughly enjoyed every dish. You have to understand, however that this is not fine dining. It's a bit chaotic and the floor may be somewhat sticky, but if you're okay with that then you'll have a wonderful time picking a choosing from all the amazing options. Steamed snow crab, raw blue crab, tripe, mushrooms, napa cabbage and bean sprouts (oh my!)...We had plate after plate, (and beer after beer), and for around $100, all four of us were incredibly satisfied with our meals. The hostess Ping is welcoming, and we can't wait to go back. Again, it's not fine dining by any stretch of the imagination, but you will dine well at a hard-to-impossible to beat price-point, that much I can assure you. ”

“ When my girlfriend first told me about Asuka and their vegetarian sushi options, I was in disbelief. I, myself love my meat and fish dishes but I also enjoy fresh vegetables and have a great amount of respect for those who are vegetarian and vegan. I was more so in disbelief that vegetarian sushi could be tasty. After today, however, I can happily admit that I was wrong. First off, when you arrive, the restaurant advertises itself for either a Chinese Buffet, Korean BBQ, Hot Pot, or All You Can Eat (AYCE) Sushi restaurant. When you first walk in, the hostess will ask you with what choice of dining you want. Unfortunately, we couldn't do everything at once for obvious reasons, but we ended up doing AYCE Sushi, and thus my review will be purely based on the Sushi service side of this restaurant. We arrived about an hour before dinner time (so about 1700) and there was no one but us and the staff in the restaurant, giving it a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Our server (presumably the owner) was kind and gave us the run down of both the regular menu and vegetarian menu. The regular menu had nigiri and rolls of what you'd normally expect from the many sushi restaurants in Reno, having various types of fish present. The vegetarian menu, as you'd expect had appetizers and sushi with an assortment of vegetables prepared in different ways! Not to mention it has two sides to it unlike the regular menu which only has one side. I mostly ordered from the regular menu but I definitely had to try some vegetarian options as well. Thankfully my girlfriend ordered mostly from the vegetarian menu so I was able to sample a few items of hers without sacrificing my love for fish! She ordered the following: the Veggie Chips, Vegetarian Godzilla Roll, Veggie Rock&Rock, and the Veggie Mountain. I ordered: the Rocky Mt., King Clovis, the Spicy Scallop Hand-roll, and lastly, salmon, hamachi, and unagi nigiri. The veggie chips, which the menu describes as: deep-fried seaweed, came out first and those were delicious! It had great texture and light sauce drizzle with that small dollop of Sriracha hit the spot. The Veggie Rock&Rock (which I don't have a picture of) also had great textures and flavors. Some favorites of my choices were the Rocky Mountain and Spicy Scallop Hand-roll. At the end of the service the plates were collected and we were handed the check. Price for AYCE dinner was 30.99 per person and unfortunately unlike other AYCE sushi restaurants, there is no dessert included here. Regardless, we both left the restaurant full and with happy tummies! To my surprise, I was pleasantly amazed of how tasty some of those veggie rolls were. If you're someone who enjoys the concept of sushi but are vegetarian or vegan, this place has many options on their two-sided vegetarian menu. I do appreciate the fact that Reno has a vegetarian friendly restaurant. Have an open mind and give this place a try! ”

“ This is the absolutely best place in Reno for vegetarian and vegan sushi. When I decided to become a vegetarian just over a year ago, I knew sushi was going to be one of the things I missed the most. Since then. Have been on a mission to find decent vegetarian sushi options in Reno. Each sushi restaurant in town usually does have at least a couple veggie rolls..but they're often just a cucumber roll or a avocado roll or something to that effect. It's ok and I am thankful to have any options to get by, but most of the time it's just not fulfilling. Then I found this place through the Vegan NV Facebook group, and it's been one of the best things to happen to me this year. Not only do they have multiple rolls..they literally have a dedicated veggie and vegan roll menu! I repeat - a whole menu!! There are so many options I was overwhelmed the first time I ordered because I'm just not used to having more than three rolls to choose from. My husband and I have been having lots of fun tasting the different combinations and finding our favorites. They also have vegan nigiri and appetizer options! The staff that runs the sushi bar is also so sweet! They always talk to me about the vegan rolls and mention that they are working on other options that are not on the menu yet but available to order. A couple examples are a veggie crystal shrimp roll and a nigiri called veggie panda, but I know they have more if you ask! Anyway this place is a bit of a drive for me, but it's totally worth it! If you're looking for vegetarian and vegan sushi this is definitely the place! ”

“ With BIG thanks for the photo posted by local Yelper Richard M., I had the best Egg Fu Yong experience in decades at this joint. They 'sauce' the dish, rather than 'gravy' it, and that is exactly the way I grew up having it in the Northeast. They do give you a lot, but I took no prisoners. Wifey enjoyed her Cashew Chicken, but honestly when does she not? This place pretty much does it all: buffet, hotpot, Korean BBQ, sushi/sashimi, and traditional menu ordering. The ladies in there were all friendly and attentive, and the chef's nailed it. They were a little tricky for us to find and we drove passed it, but backtracked and located them because nothing was going to stop me from having that Fu Yong. I miss them already. Nobody in our area does it like that... ”
